VMOD-KTI

The VMOD-KT1 is a tabletop inspection system designed to inspect kitted implants and surgical loaner kits. The system is typically deployed in several settings: one being in shipping and receiving centers that replenish surgical loaner kits, and the other being packaging stations that kit various components to make up a single finished good. For surgical loaner kits the system can easily be integrated to ERP as well as accounting infrastructure software to verify which components were utilized by surgeons to quickly and easily determine what needs to be re populated in the loaner kit. This information can also be utilized to determine what needs to be billed and can be connected to plant infrastructure to make this an automatic process. Utilization of the KT1 has shown to drastically reduce labor and liability by typically shortening the turnaround time exponentially for getting a kit back to market, as well as documenting what is used by each surgeon by tracking components used on a per lot basis. This is very useful in instances where there is a discrepancy in what is recorded by the surgeon/sales rep in surgery and what is reported back to the company loaning the kit. The system is capable of inspecting trays and kits that require more than one inspection, in instances where a surgical tray may have multiple caddies requiring two or three inspections the system documents each inspection and is programmed to check for parts in their specific location.
